Cash-Flow-Model.com Releases Construction Video on Project Cash Flow, Completion Planning, and Negotiating Funding with Confidence

Inspired by a Ketchum, Idaho home rebuild, the new video encourages builders and contractors to plan the capital needed to finish the job, test their assumptions, and prepare for funding discussions with bankers and investors.

Chicago, IL — October 31, 2026 — Building a beautiful home takes skill. Having enough cash to finish it takes a plan. A new Construction video from Cash-Flow-Model.com connects the work of building and delivering a finished property with the financial planning needed to carry the project through completion.

The approximately 88-second video continues the platform’s public Video Insights series, following its Farming, Upstream E&P, and Website Developer videos. It draws on Ronald Achs’s experience rebuilding his home in Ketchum, Idaho, which inspired the illustrative contractor case used in the Construction financial model.

Construction requires cash throughout the job. Materials, subcontractors, labor, equipment, and delivery costs must be paid while work is underway. Customer receipts may arrive on a different schedule, and a profitable job can still run short of cash before completion.

The video follows the recent launch of Cash-Flow-Model.com’s Construction financial model, which brings project revenue, construction costs, asset investments, and funding into a forward-looking 84-month financial plan.

Users can examine how qualifying Direct costs accumulate as Work-in-Process and how delivery timing affects the recognition of project revenue and costs. The model connects those assumptions with funding draws, repayment schedules, and projected per period Ending Bank Balance, helping users evaluate the cash needed throughout the construction cycle.

Unlimited “what-if” capabilities address practical construction questions: What happens if materials cost more than expected? How would a later completion date affect cash availability? What changes if customer pays late? Can the project support the proposed financing terms while keeping enough cash available to finish the work?

Construction-specific measures, including projected Gross Margin per Square Foot, help users evaluate the relationship between project revenue, modeled costs, and the size of the completed property. Those measures complement the cash-flow projections by showing how changes in the construction plan affect both projected profitability and capital requirements.

A central message is that Cash-Flow-Model.com’s GAAP-compliant financial modeling also provides a practical foundation for discussions with bankers, lenders, and investors. Organized projections help explain how much funding is needed, when it is needed, what it will support, and how repayment fits the project’s anticipated cash flow.

When a funding proposal introduces a different interest rate, repayment period, or capital structure, users can change the assumptions and examine the financial effects during the discussion. They can compare the platform’s funding waterfall with a single funding-type election and evaluate how their selected approach affects funding availability, repayment, and projected Ending Bank Balance.

The resulting integrated financial projections can be viewed, downloaded, and printed for discussions with lenders, investors, partners, and advisers. The schedules bring the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and supporting funding information together so those evaluating the project can review the financial plan.

The completed model also becomes a budget and operating benchmark against which actual performance can be measured. As construction progresses, users can revisit their assumptions and evaluate how changes in costs, delivery timing, customer receipts, or financing affect the remaining plan.

The objective is straightforward: help builders, contractors, and developers understand their capital requirements, evaluate their construction and funding choices, and keep building beautiful homes with a clearer view of the money needed to finish the job.

Users supply the assumptions, and projections reflect those assumptions. The Sun Valley rebuild inspired an illustrative contractor scenario; the model does not represent the original contractor’s historical financial results. Decisions remain with the user; projected results do not guarantee an outcome.
